Software Engineer (C++)
Dassault Systèmes
About the role
Dassault SystΓ¨mes, operating under the brand 3ds.com, is a global leader in 3D design, engineering simulation, and product lifecycle management (PLM) software. With a presence in more than 140 countries, the company serves industries ranging from aerospace and automotive to life sciences and consumer goods. Its flagship platforms such as CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, and ENOVIA enable enterprises to innovate faster, reduce timeβtoβmarket, and improve product quality.
The corporate culture emphasizes continuous learning, crossβfunctional collaboration, and a strong focus on sustainability and digital transformation.
The Software Engineer (C++) role is situated within the ENOVIA product organisation in Pune. ENOVIA powers collaborative PLM solutions that help global teams manage complex product data, change processes, and compliance requirements. As a freshβtoβearlyβcareer engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that designs, builds, and refines core C++ modules, integrates webβbased frontβends, and ensures highβperformance, scalable solutions for enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities include
- Designing software components and documenting technical specifications in Product Enhancement Specification (PES) documents.
- Selecting appropriate algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to meet functional and performance goals.
- Writing clean, maintainable C/C++ code, compiling, and performing unit testing.
- Collaborating with UI developers to integrate JavaScript, HTML, and CSS frontβends.
- Conducting code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement of coding standards.
- Performing rootβcause analysis on defects reported by QA or support teams and delivering fixes.
- Managing dependencies across ENOVIA modules and tracking progress against release milestones.
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies such as AI/ML and exploring how they can enhance PLM workflows.
- Sharing knowledge through technical talks, documentation, and mentorship of peers.
- Participating in regular retrospectives to drive process efficiency and product quality.
The tech stack revolves around C/C++ for backend services, Python for dataβscience utilities, and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for user interfaces. Exposure to design patterns, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines is expected. Growth paths include senior software engineer, lead engineer, and eventually architectural or product management roles, with ample opportunities to work on cuttingβedge simulation and AIβdriven PLM features.
Joining Dassault SystΓ¨mes offers the chance to work on industryβdefining software, collaborate with global experts, and build a career in a company that values innovation, diversity, and employee development.
