About the role

Flexiple is a managed marketplace that connects global enterprises with top‑tier talent in India. Backed by leading venture capital firms, the platform has helped dozens of SaaS startups and scale‑ups build high‑performing engineering and product teams. After successfully closing its Seriesβ€―C round, the company is now expanding its internal analytics capabilities to support rapid growth across multiple Indian markets. The culture at Flexiple emphasizes autonomy, continuous learning, and a results‑driven mindset, allowing employees to work from anywhere in India while staying closely aligned with the founders and senior leadership. The Financial Data Analyst role sits at the heart of the newly formed revenue‑analytics function. Reporting directly to the Head of Revenue Operations, you will be one of the first data hires tasked with turning raw billing and subscription data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. Your work will directly influence board decks, investor updates, and the day‑to‑day financial health of the business. This is a unique opportunity to shape the data foundation of a high‑growth SaaS company and to see the immediate impact of your analyses on fundraising and product strategy. Key responsibilities include: Build and maintain robust SQL models for ARR, churn, and cohort analysis; Reconcile billing and subscription data against the general ledger to ensure data integrity; Automate weekly and quarterly board‑level metric reports for investors; Design self‑serve dashboards for revenue, retention, and CAC payback using modern BI tools; Partner with founders and finance leaders to answer ad‑hoc growth and profitability questions; Develop data pipelines using dbt to standardise and transform raw data; Monitor and improve data quality metrics across the revenue stack; Document data definitions, assumptions, and reporting processes for cross‑functional consumption; Mentor junior analysts on SQL best practices and analytical thinking; Stay updated on SaaS financial metrics such as NRR, LTV, and unit economics. The tech stack revolves around SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake or BigQuery), dbt for transformation, Looker or a similar BI platform for visualisation, and occasional Python for advanced analytics. Familiarity with Excel, Tableau, or PowerBI is a plus. As the analytics function matures, you can progress to Senior Analyst, Analytics Lead, or even Head of Revenue Analytics, gaining exposure to fundraising, product pricing, and go‑to‑market strategy. Joining Flexiple means working in a remote‑first environment, collaborating with founders daily, and having a direct line to the metrics that shape the company’s future. If you thrive on turning numbers into narratives and want to be part of a fast‑moving SaaS journey, this role offers the perfect blend of impact, growth, and flexibility.

Technical questions 5
What is the difference between WHERE and HAVING clauses in SQL? Answer
Model answer: WHERE filters rows before any groupings are applied, while HAVING filters aggregated groups after GROUP BY has executed.
Explain SQL Window functions: ROW_NUMBER(), RANK(), and DENSE_RANK(). Answer
Model answer: ROW_NUMBER() assigns unique sequential integers. RANK() assigns identical ranks to ties and skips ranks. DENSE_RANK() assigns identical ranks to ties without skipping rank numbers.
How do you handle NULL and missing values during data cleaning in Python/Pandas? Answer
Model answer: Use .isna().sum() to identify missing values. Impute with mean/median using .fillna() or remove with .dropna(subset=[...]) depending on variance impact.
What is the difference between Star Schema and Snowflake Schema in Data Warehousing? Answer
Model answer: Star Schema has denormalized dimension tables directly connected to the central Fact table. Snowflake Schema normalizes dimension tables into sub-dimensions to minimize redundancy.
How do you calculate MoM (Month-over-Month) growth in SQL? Answer
Model answer: Use LAG(revenue, 1) OVER (ORDER BY month) to fetch the previous month's revenue and compute (revenue - prev_revenue) / prev_revenue * 100.
