About the role

Spektra Systems is a fast‑growing technology solutions provider that focuses on building AI‑driven products for enterprises across banking, healthcare, and e‑commerce. Founded in 2018, the company has quickly expanded its footprint across India and now operates a fully distributed workforce, enabling talent from any city to contribute to cutting‑edge projects. Spektra’s culture emphasizes continuous learning, collaborative problem‑solving, and a merit‑based growth path, where engineers are encouraged to experiment with the latest AI coding assistants and cloud platforms. The organization prides itself on a flat hierarchy, regular tech talks, and a strong mentorship program that helps fresh graduates transition smoothly into professional software development. The AI‑Native Software Engineer – Trainee role is designed for recent graduates who are eager to apply their academic knowledge to real‑world product development. As a trainee, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers and product managers, contributing to both core platform services and customer‑facing applications. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve breaking down large feature requirements into smaller, agent‑ready specifications, writing clear acceptance criteria, and creating test cases that can be automated by AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Copilot. You will get hands‑on exposure to a diverse tech stack ranging from .NET/ASP.NET Core APIs and SQL Server back‑ends to modern front‑end frameworks like Angular, Next.js, and React. Key Responsibilities: 1. Analyse product requirements and decompose them into granular, implementable tasks for AI coding agents. 2. Write detailed acceptance criteria and associated test cases for each task. 3. Develop and maintain .NET/ASP.NET Core APIs, ensuring high performance and scalability. 4. Build responsive UI components using Angular, React, or Next.js, adhering to design guidelines. 5. Implement database schemas and write optimized queries in SQL Server. 6. Collaborate with AI‑coding agents to generate code snippets, review outputs, and integrate them into the codebase. 7. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adopt best coding practices. 8. Contribute to the development of marketing sites using Astro, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. 9. Write documentation for APIs, modules, and deployment processes. 10. Continuously learn emerging technologies and share knowledge with the team. Tech Stack: .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, Angular 12+, React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Astro, Tailwind CSS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD pipelines, AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot). Growth Path: Starting as a trainee, you can progress to Software Engineer, Senior Engineer, and eventually Lead Engineer or Technical Architect within 2‑4 years, based on performance and skill acquisition. The company offers regular upskilling workshops, certifications, and the chance to lead small feature teams early in your career. Why Join Spektra Systems? You will work on AI‑enhanced development workflows, gain exposure to a wide variety of modern technologies, and be part of a supportive, remote‑first culture that values innovation and personal growth. The role offers a competitive salary range of 3‑6β€―LPA, flexible work hours, and the opportunity to build a strong portfolio while learning from industry experts.

Technical questions 5
What is the difference between WHERE and HAVING clauses in SQL? Answer
Model answer: WHERE filters rows before any groupings are applied, while HAVING filters aggregated groups after GROUP BY has executed.
Explain SQL Window functions: ROW_NUMBER(), RANK(), and DENSE_RANK(). Answer
Model answer: ROW_NUMBER() assigns unique sequential integers. RANK() assigns identical ranks to ties and skips ranks. DENSE_RANK() assigns identical ranks to ties without skipping rank numbers.
How do you handle NULL and missing values during data cleaning in Python/Pandas? Answer
Model answer: Use .isna().sum() to identify missing values. Impute with mean/median using .fillna() or remove with .dropna(subset=[...]) depending on variance impact.
What is the difference between Star Schema and Snowflake Schema in Data Warehousing? Answer
Model answer: Star Schema has denormalized dimension tables directly connected to the central Fact table. Snowflake Schema normalizes dimension tables into sub-dimensions to minimize redundancy.
How do you calculate MoM (Month-over-Month) growth in SQL? Answer
Model answer: Use LAG(revenue, 1) OVER (ORDER BY month) to fetch the previous month's revenue and compute (revenue - prev_revenue) / prev_revenue * 100.
