Role & responsibilities Job Description: AI Engineer Agentic AI Development Job Title: AI Engineer – Agentic AI Development Experience: 6–8+ years overall experience (4–6+ years in AI development preferred) Primary Skills: Agentic AI, Python, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Vertex AI, Google ADK, AI Evaluation Project Overview The project focuses on developing an enterprise-grade Agentic AI platform that leverages specialized Large Language Model (LLM) agents, orchestrated through an Agent Development Kit (ADK), to automate data retrieval, multi-step reasoning, hypothesis validation, and complex decision-making. The platform incorporates Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) mechanisms to ensure autonomous agent actions align with organizational safety, accuracy, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement sophisticated Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) using Google ADK or similar agent orchestration frameworks. Build and manage sequential, parallel, and loop-based agent workflows for complex reasoning and automated data processing. Architect Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows with interrupt-and-resume capabilities for human validation and critical decision-making. Implement advanced agent reasoning patterns, including ReAct, Chain-of-Thought (CoT), and self-reflection, to improve output reliability. Develop and deploy AI agents and agent-based applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI. Optimize long-context processing for large datasets while maintaining response coherence, accuracy, and consistency. Establish AI evaluation frameworks to assess agent performance using precision, recall, F1 score, faithfulness, trajectory analysis, and defect classification accuracy. Perform debugging, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous optimization of agent workflows and LLM outputs. Integrate LLMs with enterprise data sources and knowledge systems to support intelligent information retrieval and decision-making. Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions. Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, testing, and monitoring for agent-based applications. Mandatory Skills Strong programming experience in Python. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI. Practical experience developing and deploying Agentic AI solutions. Experience with Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) or similar frameworks for building and orchestrating AI agents. Understanding of multi-agent architectures and sequential, iterative, and loop-based workflows. Experience with AI evaluation methodologies and metrics, including precision, recall, F1 score, and agent trajectory evaluation. Familiarity with LLM tuning and reasoning techniques, including Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT), ReAct, and Chain-of-Thought prompting. Experience in data analysis, data processing, and integration with LLM-based applications. Ability to debug complex AI workflows and perform root cause analysis. Experience deploying and maintaining AI agents in cloud environments. Familiarity with Human-in-the-Loop implementation, including interrupt-and-resume workflows. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and customer collaboration skills. Good-to-Have Skills Experience with Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocols and Model Context Protocol (MCP). Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation for multi-agent frameworks. Experience integrating LLMs with knowledge graphs and enterprise knowledge bases. Familiarity with memory banks or persistent memory mechanisms for agent-to-agent communication. Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaborative software engineering practices. Understanding of production monitoring, AI safety, reliability, and performance optimization. Qualifications and Experience 6–8+ years of overall relevant technical experience, with 4–6+ years of AI development experience preferred. Hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying agent-based AI applications. Experience delivering AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform, particularly Vertex AI. Practical exposure to Google ADK and multi-agent orchestration. Experience working in Agile development environments. Strong technical communication and customer-facing collaboration skills.

What is the bias-variance tradeoff and how do you prevent overfitting? Answer ▼
Model Answer: High bias leads to underfitting (oversimplified model), high variance leads to overfitting (captures noise). Mitigate using L1/L2 Regularization, Dropout, Cross-Validation, and data augmentation.
Explain the difference between Precision, Recall, and F1-Score. Answer ▼
Model Answer: Precision = TP / (TP + FP) (correctness of positive predictions). Recall = TP / (TP + FN) (coverage of actual positives). F1-Score is the harmonic mean of Precision and Recall.
How does Gradient Descent work and what is the role of Learning Rate? Answer ▼
Model Answer: It optimizes loss functions by iteratively moving weights in the direction of negative gradient. A large learning rate may overshoot the minimum; a small rate causes slow convergence.
What is the difference between Supervised, Unsupervised, and Self-Supervised learning? Answer ▼
Model Answer: Supervised uses labeled data (X -> y). Unsupervised finds hidden patterns in unlabeled data (clustering/PCA). Self-supervised generates labels from input data (e.g. masked language modeling in BERT/Transformers).
