5-8 years | Role: Full-time About the role We are seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to lead a skilled engineering team and build secure, scalable and cost-conscious technology platforms that support meaningful education and research programs. The role combines full-stack development, architecture, data engineering, cloud operations, analytics and practical AI adoption. Key roles and responsibilities Engineering leadership and full-stack delivery Lead and mentor developers; own technical planning, solution design, code reviews, delivery quality and production readiness while remaining actively involved in development.

Build reliable web applications and APIs using a modern stack such as React/Next.js, Python/Django or Node.js, PostgreSQL and related technologies. ¢ Apply sound engineering practices across CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, performance, maintainability, monitoring and incident resolution. Data collection, integration and architecture ¢ Design flexible and secure data collection systems for surveys, field observations, assessments and research workflows, including configurable forms and validation. ¢ Model and process structured, semi-structured and unstructured data such as JSON, documents, images and video; support data quality, access control and auditability. ¢ Integrate multiple applications and datasets into a trustworthy unified view, with efficient ingestion, transformation, APIs and reporting-ready data models. Cloud, security and operational efficiency ¢ Design, deploy and operate cloud workloads, preferably on AWS, using EC2, RDS/PostgreSQL, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda and relevant AI/ML services. ¢ Build with security and privacy by design: least-privilege permissions, encryption, secrets management, backup/recovery, logging and reliable operations. ¢ Optimize infrastructure, storage and application performance for scalability, availability and sustainable cost.

PRAYOGA | TECHNICAL MANAGER 1 / 2 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (CONTINUED) AI, automation and analytics ¢ Identify useful AI opportunities; prototype and integrate LLM-based features with prompt engineering, tool calling, MCP, reusable agent skills and agentic workflows. ¢ Apply appropriate AI safeguards, human oversight, evaluation, access controls and usage/cost monitoring; understand RAG and knowledge retrieval concepts. ¢ Build management dashboards, KPI reports and decision-support analytics that turn program and operational data into actionable insights. Enterprise systems and stakeholder partnership ¢ Work with the Zoho ecosystem (such as Zoho One, CRM, Creator and Analytics) and integrate services using APIs, webhooks and secure authentication. ¢ Partner with academic, research, field and management teams to translate real-world needs into simple, sustainable products and prioritized roadmaps. Required qualifications and capabilities ¢ 5-8 years of relevant software engineering experience, with demonstrated hands-on full-stack delivery and experience guiding engineers or owning technical workstreams. ¢ Strong fundamentals in application architecture, relational database design, SQL/PostgreSQL, REST APIs, security, performance and debugging. ¢ Practical AWS or equivalent cloud experience, with understanding of infrastructure, deployment, IAM, networking, monitoring and cost controls. ¢ Experience with data collection tools, integration pipelines, data models and dashboards or analytics solutions. ¢ Working knowledge of generative AI, prompt engineering, MCP and agentic AI; ability to learn and assess evolving technologies. ¢ Clear communication, stakeholder engagement, technical judgment and a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred experience ¢ Zoho product integrations; configurable survey/form builders; JSONB, media storage or offline-first data capture. ¢ Exposure to education, research, nonprofit or social-impact environments; experience with field teams and program monitoring. ¢ AI workflow orchestration, RAG, cloud AI services, business intelligence tools and data privacy practices.
