Job Description & Key Responsibilities
Peakflo is a fast‑growing fintech startup that helps businesses streamline their cash‑flow management through intelligent invoicing, automated collections, and data‑driven insights. Founded by alumni of leading accelerator programs, the company has quickly expanded its client base across India and Southeast Asia, earning recognition for its innovative use of AI‑powered analytics in the B2B payments space. The culture at Peakflo emphasizes rapid experimentation, cross‑functional collaboration, and a customer‑first mindset, making it an attractive destination for engineers who want to see the direct impact of their work on real‑world business outcomes.
The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) role sits at the intersection of product engineering and client success. As an FDE, you will partner closely with customers to understand their unique workflow challenges, translate those requirements into scalable technical solutions, and ensure smooth deployment and adoption of Peakflo’s platform. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing engineering position that blends strong coding skills with excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Engaging with customers to gather detailed functional and technical requirements.
2. Designing and building custom integrations using Python or JavaScript.
3. Developing, testing, and deploying REST‑API based connectors and automation scripts.
4. Writing efficient SQL queries and managing database interactions for data migration.
5. Debugging production issues, performing root‑cause analysis, and delivering timely fixes.
6. Collaborating with product, engineering, and QA teams to align solutions with the product roadmap.
7. Creating technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge‑base articles for client teams.
8. Conducting training sessions and workshops to enable customers to use the platform effectively.
9. Continuously monitoring system performance and suggesting enhancements.
10. Staying updated with emerging technologies and proposing innovative features.
The tech stack primarily revolves around Python, JavaScript (Node.js), RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, Git for version control, and cloud services for deployment. Freshers with solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and database concepts can thrive in this role, especially if they have built personal or academic projects involving API integrations.
Growth at Peakflo is merit‑driven: high‑performing FDEs can transition into senior engineering roles, product management, or solutions architecture positions. The exposure to diverse industry problems accelerates learning, making the role a springboard for a long‑term career in software engineering or technical consulting. Joining Peakflo offers the chance to work remotely while being part of a dynamic, supportive team that values continuous learning, ownership, and impact.
