The role of Associate Engineer at Eaton Pune is crafted for fresh engineering graduates who have a solid grasp of fundamental engineering concepts such as material properties, measurement techniques, and basic arithmetic calculations. The position sits within the Product Stewardship and Compliance team, where the incumbent will assist in interpreting and implementing global regulations like AD-DSL, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS and Prop65. The role also demands strong communication skills to liaise with local and global suppliers, gather compliance data, and present technical information clearly to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply basic engineering principles to evaluate material specifications, weight, volume, density and related measurements.
- Interpret and support compliance with product stewardship regulations (ADβDSL, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS, Prop65).
- Collaborate with local and global suppliers to collect and verify compliance data.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for regulatory submissions.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects, including dashboard creation.
- Assist senior engineers in risk assessments and product lifecycle analysis.
- Participate in crossβfunctional meetings to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into product design.
- Contribute to the development of digital tools that streamline compliance tracking.
- Stay updated on emerging regulations and industry best practices.
Tech Stack & Tools: MS Excel, PowerBI/Dashboards, basic statistical software, ERP/compliance management systems, and familiarity with digital collaboration platforms.
Growth Path: Starting as an Associate Engineer, high performers can progress to Engineer, Senior Engineer, and eventually to Managerial roles within the Product Stewardship or Engineering divisions.
