About the role

Mouser Electronics is a global distributor of electronic components, serving engineers and designers across more than 200 countries. With a strong focus on rapid product availability, technical support, and a robust digital platform, Mouser has positioned itself as a preferred partner for innovators in the hardware and IoT space. The company invests heavily in cutting‑edge technologies, data‑driven supply chain solutions, and a culture that encourages continuous learning and collaboration. As part of its expansion in India, Mouser’s Bengaluru office acts as a hub for software development, product integration, and customer‑facing digital experiences. The Web Developer role is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to translate business requirements into functional, high‑performance web applications. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the incumbent will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to build, test, and maintain web solutions that power Mouser’s e‑commerce portal, internal dashboards, and partner APIs. This position offers exposure to the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment on Azure cloud services. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Analyse user stories and translate them into technical specifications with effort estimates. 2. Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, and related front‑end technologies. 3. Write clean, reusable code and implement unit tests to ensure high code quality. 4. Integrate SQL Server databases (2012/2016) with application layers, optimizing queries for performance. 5. Collaborate with UI/UX teams to implement responsive designs using Bootstrap, CSS, and jQuery. 6. Consume and create RESTful services using JSON and AJAX for dynamic data exchange. 7. Participate in code reviews, version control (TFS/Git), and continuous integration pipelines. 8. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and propose fixes. 9. Stay updated with emerging web technologies and suggest improvements to the existing stack. 10. Contribute to documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and internal best‑practice guides. **Tech Stack**: C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, .NET Framework, Visual Studio 2015+, TFS, SQL Server 2012/2016, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, JSON, AJAX, Azure DevOps. **Growth Path**: Successful performers can progress to Senior Web Developer, Technical Lead, or specialize in Cloud Architecture and Digital Experience Platforms within 2‑3 years. Mouser encourages certifications in Microsoft technologies and offers mentorship programs. **Why Join**: Working at Mouser gives fresh talent the chance to impact a global e‑commerce platform used by millions of engineers daily. The company’s emphasis on innovation, a supportive learning environment, and competitive compensation (7.5β€―LPA) make it an attractive launchpad for a software engineering career.

Technical questions 4
What is the bias-variance tradeoff and how do you prevent overfitting? Answer
Model answer: High bias leads to underfitting (oversimplified model), high variance leads to overfitting (captures noise). Mitigate using L1/L2 Regularization, Dropout, Cross-Validation, and data augmentation.
Explain the difference between Precision, Recall, and F1-Score. Answer
Model answer: Precision = TP / (TP + FP) (correctness of positive predictions). Recall = TP / (TP + FN) (coverage of actual positives). F1-Score is the harmonic mean of Precision and Recall.
How does Gradient Descent work and what is the role of Learning Rate? Answer
Model answer: It optimizes loss functions by iteratively moving weights in the direction of negative gradient. A large learning rate may overshoot the minimum; a small rate causes slow convergence.
What is the difference between Supervised, Unsupervised, and Self-Supervised learning? Answer
Model answer: Supervised uses labeled data (X -> y). Unsupervised finds hidden patterns in unlabeled data (clustering/PCA). Self-supervised generates labels from input data (e.g. masked language modeling in BERT/Transformers).
Behavioural & HR questions 3
Why do you want to join EABW as a Web Developer?
Highlight EABW's market reputation, recent tech innovations, and how your skills in C# directly solve their team's objectives.
