We have been mandated for the below mentioned role for global aerospace company.

Job Summary

The AI Analyst & Developer will be expected to bring strong AI development skills, experience with intelligent automation, and the ability to integrate AI technologies into enterprise workflows. This role will bridge the gap between the existing automation team and the newly formed AI team, helping the business transition from traditional automation to AIdriven, intelligent systems. The developer will be part of a core team responsible for architecting and implementing AI solutions, building intelligent agents, and supporting the business in its early adoption of advanced AI technologies.

The candidate must be able to evaluate AI opportunities, design and develop AI models, and integrate them into automation platforms and business processes. They will collaborate closely with Security teams to ensure AI usage aligns with company policies and responsibleAI guidelines. This role requires a dynamic, selfdriven individual who is passionate about AI, machine learning, intelligent agents, and modern application development.

The candidate must demonstrate continuous learning, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with global teams. There will be opportunities to learn new AI tools, explore Microsoft technology stacks, and occasionally travel. The candidate will also participate in Crane Business System (CBS) activities that drive continuous improvement and generate new AI development needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the Designing, development, and deployment of AIbased solutions , including machine learning models, NLP systems, intelligent document processing, and AIenhanced automation.
• Experience in working with Co-Pilot developing agents and troubleshooting issues and handling of tokens.
• Work with team members to ensure efficient use of reusable AI components, models, and frameworks .
• Collaborate with Process Owners to gather requirements, perform feasibility assessments, and support them during analysis and acceptance testing of AI solutions.
• Work with support teams to update, retrain, or optimize AI models and improve existing intelligent automation workflows.
• Produce formal documentation for AI model design, data preparation, testing, deployment, and monitoring .
• Collaborate with thirdparty AI development partners to help move their solutions through UAT and into production.
• Create and maintain project action plans for all AI development work.
• Use existing knowledge of AI agents and LLMbased systems to brainstorm and design AIdriven solutions with the AI Project Manager.
• Continuously learn and evaluate emerging AI technologies and assist leadership with technology recommendations .
• Take on additional responsibilities to support leadership and management as needed.
• Participate in events that drive continuous improvement and contribute to AIrelated software development needs.
• Follow processes and toolkits to ensure operational excellence in AI delivery.
• Submit weekly progress reports for assigned AI tasks.
• Ensure compliance with IT, data governance, and AI security policies.

Required Skills

& Experience

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with 4+ years in AI development, ML model building, intelligent automation, or AIdriven solution delivery.
• Strong experience with AI/ML frameworks or AI automation platforms.
• Exposure to integrating AI with automation tools or using AI agents to reduce manual effort and improve business efficiency.
• Knowledge of creating AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio & Azure workspace. Technologies in Azure such as data factory, data lake, AI services, AI foundary, ML, Python, LLMs etc
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written English).
• Experience working with process owners during analysis and acceptance testing phases.
• A strong understanding of the security implications and ramifications of using AI in a Global Business arena.
• A willingness for occasional travel (domestically/internationally) to other Crane locations. Good to Have Strong understanding of AI development SDLC / methodologies including machine learning model design, ML pipelines, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and deployment of AI systems into production environments. Handson experience with data engineering working with structured/unstructured data, ETL workflows, and data pipelines to support AI model training and inference. Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem tools such as CoPilot , Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Azure and their integration with AIdriven workflows would be an advantage. Deep understanding of modern AI technologies including AI agents, large language models (LLMs), vector databases, prompt engineering, retrievalaugmented generation (RAG), and awareness of AI security, privacy, and governance risks. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments , contributing to iterative development, sprint planning, and crossfunctional collaboration. Relevant certifications in AI/ML, cloud AI platforms (Azure AI, AWS AI, Google Vertex AI), or intelligent automation technologies. Additional technical skills in Microsoft development stacks such as SQL Server, .NET, and Azure AI Services, enabling endtoend AI solution development and integration. Additional Automation Skills (Use of UIPath or other Automation studios with AI plugins ), would be considered an advantage, but not essential to the role.
