About the role

RevRag AI is an emerging artificial‑intelligence startup headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Founded by a group of seasoned data scientists and engineers, the company builds end‑to‑end AI platforms that help enterprises automate decision‑making, enhance customer experiences, and unlock hidden business insights. With a focus on rapid prototyping and real‑world deployment, RevRag AI has partnered with several fintech, e‑commerce, and healthcare firms, delivering custom AI solutions that scale across cloud and on‑premise environments. The organization prides itself on a collaborative culture where engineers work side‑by‑side with product managers, data scientists, and customers to turn complex algorithms into usable products. The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Intern role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI research, and client engagement. Interns will be embedded within project teams, assisting senior engineers in translating AI models into production‑ready services, customizing solutions for specific client needs, and troubleshooting issues that arise during live deployments. This hands‑on experience offers a rare glimpse into how cutting‑edge AI research is operationalized for business impact, making it an ideal launchpad for aspiring software engineers who love both code and customer interaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with senior FDEs to understand client requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 2. Assist in building, testing, and deploying AI‑driven micro‑services on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). 3. Write clean, modular Python/Java code and develop RESTful APIs for model inference. 4. Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model integration tasks. 5. Debug and resolve production issues, providing timely support to client engineering teams. 6. Document implementation steps, create user guides, and contribute to knowledge‑base articles. 7. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. 8. Conduct performance benchmarking and suggest optimizations for latency and scalability. 9. Engage in client meetings, demos, and feedback sessions to refine solutions. 10. Stay updated with the latest AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and contribute ideas for product enhancements. Tech Stack: Python, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, REST/GraphQL APIs, AWS/GCP services, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, CI/CD pipelines. Growth Path: Successful interns may be offered a full‑time Forward Deployed Engineer position, with clear progression to Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, or Product Specialist roles. The role also opens pathways into pure AI research, data engineering, or product management tracks within RevRag AI. Why Join RevRag AI? The internship provides exposure to real client projects, mentorship from industry veterans, and the chance to see your code run in production environments that directly impact business outcomes. You will develop a blend of technical depth and soft‑skill expertiseβ€”coding, problem‑solving, and client communicationβ€”all of which are highly valued in today’s AI‑driven job market.

Technical questions 5
Explain OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles with real-world examples in Python. Answer
Model answer: 1. Encapsulation (data hiding via private fields/getters). 2. Abstraction (hiding implementation complexity). 3. Inheritance (code reusability). 4. Polymorphism (method overriding/overloading).
What is the time and space complexity of QuickSort vs MergeSort? Answer
Model answer: QuickSort: Average O(N log N) time, O(log N) space. Worst O(N^2). MergeSort: Guaranteed O(N log N) time, but requires O(N) auxiliary space.
Explain the difference between SQL Indexing (B-Tree vs Hash) and when not to use an index. Answer
Model answer: Indexes speed up SELECT queries via B-Trees. However, they slow down INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations because indexes must be updated on disk. Avoid on low-cardinality columns (e.g., boolean flags).
What happens under the hood when you enter a URL in a browser? Answer
Model answer: 1. DNS lookup (resolves IP). 2. TCP 3-way handshake (SYN, SYN-ACK, ACK). 3. TLS negotiation for HTTPS. 4. HTTP GET request sent. 5. Server responds with HTML/CSS/JS. 6. Browser renders DOM & CSSOM tree.
What is the difference between REST and GraphQL APIs? Answer
Model answer: REST uses multiple fixed endpoints with possible over/under-fetching. GraphQL uses a single endpoint allowing clients to query exact fields in a single request.
