Freelancing Opportunity: We are hiring Rust Developers (Software Engineers) for an exciting AI research and software engineering project focused on evaluating and improving advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) through real-world software development, GitHub issue analysis, codebase evaluation, and testing. Criteria Technical Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Rust .
- Proficiency in Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup .
- Ability to understand, analyze, and navigate complex codebases.
- Comfortable running, modifying, and testing real-world projects locally.
- Familiarity with high-quality public GitHub repositories.
- Strong understanding of software development practices and code quality.
- Ability to evaluate unit test coverage and testing quality.
- Experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is an added advantage.
Nice to Have
- Previous participation in LLM research or AI evaluation projects.
- Experience building or testing developer tools and automation agents.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and bug-fixing scenarios.
- Availability & Commitment Minimum commitment: 40 hours per week .
- Must be available for 8 hours per day .
- Required overlap of at least 4 hours with PST business hours .
- What You'll
- Work On: Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries.
- Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and development environment setup.
- Evaluate unit test coverage and overall testing quality.
- Modify and execute codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.
- Identify software bugs, code issues, and potential improvements.
- Collaborate with researchers to identify repositories and issues that challenge LLM capabilities.
- Support AI research initiatives through hands-on software engineering and code evaluation.

What is the bias-variance tradeoff and how do you prevent overfitting? Answer
Model answer: High bias leads to underfitting (oversimplified model), high variance leads to overfitting (captures noise). Mitigate using L1/L2 Regularization, Dropout, Cross-Validation, and data augmentation.
Explain the difference between Precision, Recall, and F1-Score. Answer
Model answer: Precision = TP / (TP + FP) (correctness of positive predictions). Recall = TP / (TP + FN) (coverage of actual positives). F1-Score is the harmonic mean of Precision and Recall.
How does Gradient Descent work and what is the role of Learning Rate? Answer
Model answer: It optimizes loss functions by iteratively moving weights in the direction of negative gradient. A large learning rate may overshoot the minimum; a small rate causes slow convergence.
What is the difference between Supervised, Unsupervised, and Self-Supervised learning? Answer
