Job Description Python Automation Test Engineer Position: Python Automation Test Engineer Experience: 6 to 10 Years Location: Chennai (Work From Office) Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days serving notice About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Python Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, framework development, API testing, and CI/CD implementation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks using Python and modern testing tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using Python. Create and execute automated test scripts for Web, API, and Backend applications. Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines. Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. Maintain automation standards, reporting, and test documentation. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and test estimations. Required Skills 6 to 10 years of experience in QA Automation Testing. Strong programming expertise in Python and Shell Scripting. Hands-on experience with Pytest, Unittest, and Robot Framework . Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for UI automation. Strong API testing experience using Postman, Python Requests, Pytest API frameworks , or similar tools. Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch. Good knowledge of MySQL , SQL query writing, and backend validation. Experience working with PostgreSQL and Oracle Databases . Exposure to Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Docker . Strong understanding of test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with JIRA and test management tools. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP . Exposure to cloud-based test automation environments. Knowledge of performance and integration testing. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
