The Data Coordinator role is an entryβlevel position designed for recent graduates who are eager to start a career in clinical data management. As a Data Coordinator, you will act as the backbone of data operations, ensuring that all study data is captured accurately, validated against source documents, and maintained in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. You will work closely with Clinical Research Associates, Project Managers, and Biostatisticians, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of a clinical trial.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and maintain study data for assigned projects, ensuring timely updates in the electronic data capture (EDC) system.
2. Perform data review for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, flagging any discrepancies.
3. Support data entry, tracking, and documentation activities, adhering to SOPs.
4. Identify data queries and collaborate with site teams to resolve them efficiently.
5. Generate routine data management reports for internal stakeholders.
6. Maintain project records, audit trails, and documentation as per regulatory requirements.
7. Assist in preparing data listings and tables for interim and final analyses.
8. Participate in crossβfunctional meetings to align data deliverables with project timelines.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the data management team.
10. Ensure compliance with Medscapeβs data security and confidentiality policies.
Tech Stack & Tools: Microsoft Excel, MS Office Suite, Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platforms such as Medidata Rave or Oracle Clinical, basic SQL querying, and data validation tools.
Growth Path: Starting as a Data Coordinator, high performers can progress to Data Management Associate, Senior Data Manager, and eventually to Project Lead or Clinical Operations Manager, with opportunities to specialize in therapeutic domains or advanced analytics.
