As part of its People Operations team, Canonical is looking for a Graduate HR Generalist who will support the endβtoβend employee lifecycle in a fully remote setting. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are eager to start a career in Human Resources, offering handsβon exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee data management, and HR communications. Working closely with senior HR partners, the Generalist will help maintain the highβperformance culture Canonical is known for while gaining a deep understanding of HR best practices in a fastβmoving tech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in dayβtoβday HR operations, including maintaining employee records and HRIS data.
2. Support recruitment activities such as posting job ads, screening resumes, and coordinating interview schedules.
3. Facilitate onboarding and offβboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and exiting employees.
4. Prepare and distribute HR communications, policy updates, and employee newsletters.
5. Coordinate with internal teams to address HRβrelated queries and compliance requirements.
6. Help organize virtual employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs.
7. Track and report HR metrics, such as attrition, timeβtoβfill, and employee satisfaction.
8. Ensure adherence to company policies, local labor laws, and dataβprivacy standards.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and documentation.
10. Provide administrative support for performance management cycles and training programs.
Tech Stack & Tools: The role will primarily use HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR), applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse), collaboration tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams), and basic office productivity suites (Google Workspace, MS Office). Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
Growth Path: Starting as an HR Generalist, high performers can progress to HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Lead, or People Operations Manager within 2β3 years, gaining exposure to strategic workforce planning and organizational development.
