The Accountant role in Bangalore is a core finance position that supports PayPalβs financial integrity and reporting excellence. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for reconciling General Ledger (GL) accounts, posting accurate entries in SAP, and ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items. The role also involves active participation in monthβend close activities, collaborating with crossβfunctional teams, and driving process improvements through technology adoption. **Key Responsibilities**
1. Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of assigned GL accounts.
2. Clear reconciling items in accordance with company policies.
3. Post GL entries and customerβaccount transactions in SAP.
4. Research, track, and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
5. Participate actively in monthβend close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
6. Identify and recommend improvements in reporting, reconciliation, and analysis workflows.
7. Drive adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
8. Communicate with internal stakeholders and processors to escalate and resolve accounting differences.
9. Assist with escalated accounting cases and provide rootβcause analysis.
10. Maintain documentation and audit trails for all reconciliation activities.
**Tech Stack**: SAP ERP, MS Excel (advanced), basic knowledge of data visualization tools, and familiarity with PayPalβs internal finance platforms.
