The role of Associate Operations is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to dive into the fastβpaced world of retail operations. As an Associate, you will be part of a dynamic team that handles dayβtoβday operational queries, processes large volumes of tickets, and ensures that service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met. You will work on UK shifts, including weekends, and will be the first point of contact for both voice and ticketβbased customer interactions. The position offers exposure to continuous improvement (CI) tools, dataβdriven reporting, and crossβfunctional collaboration, making it an ideal launchpad for a longβterm career in operations, analytics or process management.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Resolve user queries via voice and ticket channels with high accuracy and within defined SLAs.
2. Identify operational bottlenecks and propose improvements using CI methodologies.
3. Generate and maintain management reports from multiple databases to summarize issue trends.
4. Maintain detailed documentation of processes and resolutions for knowledgeβbase creation.
5. Collaborate with crossβfunctional teams (finance, logistics, IT) to close complex queries.
6. Monitor KPI dashboards and ensure targets for volume, speed and quality are achieved.
7. Participate in weekend and UKβbased shift schedules to provide 24x7 support.
8. Conduct rootβcause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.
9. Uphold Tescoβs Business Code of Conduct and dataβprivacy standards in all interactions.
10. Contribute ideas for process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
**Tech Stack & Tools**: Microsoft Excel, SQL basics, Tableau/PowerBI for reporting, ticketing platforms (ServiceNow or similar), CI tools such as Six Sigma, basic scripting (Python) for data extraction, and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and Slack.
**Growth Path**: Successful Associates can progress to Senior Operations Analyst, Operations Manager, or specialize in Business Process Improvement, Data Analytics, or Customer Experience Management within 2β3 years.
