The Financial Analyst role in Pune will be part of Emerson's Finance Business Partnering team, reporting to the Business Unit Finance Manager. The analyst will own end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition in Oracle, and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. This hybrid position blends rigorous financial discipline with strategic forecasting, giving the incumbent exposure to large‑scale projects and multinational operations.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Manage the monthly reporting cycle, delivering timely financial statements to internal and external stakeholders.
2. Lead the preparation of daily and monthly flash reports for orders and sales at site level.
3. Determine appropriate revenue recognition methods for projects and execute them in Oracle.
4. Perform control‑account reconciliations (WIP, UBR, UER) between sub‑ledger and general ledger.
5. Conduct month‑end checks such as EAC movements, loss accruals and cost corrections.
6. Maintain project data in Oracle, ensuring proper closure, cost‑revenue reconciliation and clearance of interface errors.
7. Review foreign‑currency exposures and back‑log FX reporting each month.
8. Generate project financial reports (ITD invoice, status inquiry, variance analysis) for senior management.
9. Support budgeting, forecasting (POR), and annual audit processes.
10. Collaborate with Business Unit Financial Analysts to explain variances and drive continuous improvement.
The tech stack revolves around Oracle ERP, Oracle SmartView, advanced Excel, and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Candidates with a Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA or a finance degree and up to three years of FP&A experience will thrive. Emerson offers a clear growth path: junior analyst → senior analyst → finance manager → finance director, with regular skill‑upgradation workshops and cross‑functional project exposure.
Why join Emerson? The company provides a competitive compensation package, comprehensive health benefits, and a hybrid work model that balances office collaboration with remote flexibility. Employees enjoy a culture that values diversity, inclusion and continuous learning, making it an ideal place for ambitious finance graduates to launch a rewarding career.
